Biopics- why are they important?
A biopic is the movie made on an individual’s life, who may or may not be famous, by dramatizing his/her life’s events. Biopics, most of the times will revolve around the true incidents of an individual’s life; but sometimes, it can be fabricated. Like any other forms of movies, biopics can have both positive and negative impact. Every famous personality will have two faces, one that is known to the society and the other that is not known to the society. Biopics try to keep various aspects of that particular individual front of the individual, inside out. The Film industry has given some of the finest biopics in recent years.

We all have favorite personalities whom we think to be our role model. Knowing more about their work, about their personal life, their thought process, etc., would be possible only through biopics. The actors who portray the roles of these personalities must be applauded, as they thrive hard, to give the clear picture about how that individual was, in his/her real life. One cannot expect documentary-like precision, in biopics; the biopics are the fictions that are dramatic. Biopics try to give a glimpse of what happened before great things were discovered or invented, not purely the scientific aspects, though. Sometimes, an individual may have a majestic and graceful appearance in public, their personal life and their way of thinking may not be appealing. The movie “Enid” is one good example. The movie says that the author, who was a celebrated children’s writer, had a dark side wherein she did not like children much.
